My new book on the Spring framework is out at last.
I wrote this book for the developer who is already comfortable with Java and who is probably pretty comfortable with web development in general, but who has little or no prior experience with the Spring framework. In other words I wrote it for the person I was when I first encountered Spring. Hopefully it will prove useful. Here are the chapter titles:
| Chapter 1 | An Introduction to Spring |
| Chapter 2 | Presenting the Sample Application |
| Chapter 3 | The heart of Spring: Inversion of Control |
| Chapter 4 | Data Access |
| Chapter 5 | The Service Layer, Transaction Management, and AOP |
| Chapter 6 | Web Applications |
| Chapter 7 | Security |
| Chapter 8 | Sending E-mail |
| Chapter 9 | Remoting |
| Chapter 10 | Testing |
| Appendix A | The Spring IDE Plugin for Eclipse |
At some point there will probably be a second edition, so feedback is very welcome of course.
