Formulae

As a part of the year of actually getting around to doing things that I normally only say I will plan to get around to, or "2008" as I'm calling it, I fancy going to see the F1.

Yes, I know I'm just a bandwagoneer jumping on the Hamilton near miss last year and I've never been a particular F1 fan before that. Well, aside from that wonderful whacky races Brazilian Grand Prix in 2003 which was one of the most joyously ludicrous sporting events it's been my privilege to accidentally tune into.

Still, I really enjoyed it last year and I fancy seeing one live. I'm damned if I can work out what ticket I ought to get though; there are quite a few to choose from and they range in price from a couple of hundred1 to about five hundred. I've heard that the cheap ones are rubbish, but other than the position on the track they don't give you much information to go on.

Maybe if I was a dyed in the wool Formula 1 fan of many years standing I'd know the answer, but I asked one and he didn't. Although he now wants to come too, obviously.

So, I throw the question open to the internet2: if you were going this year, which ticket would you get?

Update: Tim's thoughts on attending the Formula 1 at Silverstone

1Unless I pretend to be 14 and take a responsible adult. But I don't know any.

2If the keywords Brazilian, Formula 1, and Grand Prix aren't enough to push this post up the ratings to visibility, then the keywords nude, tits, and cute cats in hats will have to do. Alternatively I am now spamblocked into the void.
